Settings->Processing
The options on the Processing tab allow you to automatically perform additional
image processing after the images are generated.
Enable rotation
Check one of the rotate group options to rotate the image 90, 180 or 270 degrees clockwise.
Auto rotate landscape images
If the image is in landscape mode, rotate the image 90 (or 270) degrees clockwise.
Enable cropping
Check this option if you want to extract a rectangular
portion of an image and remove unwanted image areas.
Click the ... button to bring up another dialog
which allows you to configure the cropping functionality.
Enable flipping
This option is used to flip the image.
Horizontal
Mirror the image horizontally (left-right).
Vertical
Mirror the image vertically (top-bottom).
Enable border trimming
Trim image margins, use this option to trim the white margins or borders around the image.
Left/Right/Top/Bottom
Check these options if you want to trim the image along its four borders.
Scaling
Select this option to scale the output image.
To make a faxable TIFF with a given width and height, you usually do not need
to enable the scaling option. Instead, select the "Automatically
adjust the image width to create a faxable TIFF" option
and/or "Produce an image height of xxxx lines" option in
the "Advanced TIFF Options" dialog box.
Please try different paper sizes and/or DPI resolutions first to see if you can make an image
of the desired pixel dimensions before applying the Scaling option.
Pixels
Select this option to scale and pad the image to ensure it reaches the specified size.
Clear this option to reduce the image by specifying the horizontal
and vertical scaling factors.
Horizontal
If Pixels is selected, this specifies the width in pixels of the desired image.
If Pixels is deselected, this specifies the horizontal reduction scaling factor (1.0-3.0).
The image can be scaled in either the horizontal or the vertical direction.
The generated image dimension is calculated as the original image dimension
divided by the scaling factors. This feature is useful if you are printing
from a program that doesn't support the desired DPI resolution or if the
generated image size is too large.
Vertical
If Pixels is selected, this specifies the height in pixels of the desired image.
If Pixels is deselected, this specifies the vertical reduction scaling factor (1.0-3.0).
Invert
Invert pixel values of the generated image so that 0 becomes 255 and 255 becomes 0. This
creates a negative image of the original.
Transpose
Flip the image in the vertical direction and rotate it 90 degrees.
