Email->MAPI Settings

Method
You can send Email using either Simple MAPI or Extended MAPI.

Auto Detect
First check if Extended MAPI is supported on your computer. If it is, Zan Image Printer will use Extended MAPI to send the Email. If not, it will use Simple MAPI.

Extended MAPI
Zan Image Printer will use Extended MAPI to send Emails. This prevents Outlook from displaying a security warning dialog when an Email is sent:

Simple MAPI
Uses the Simple MAPI. A security warning dialog may be displayed when Emails are sent.

Profile
Profiles are used by MAPI compliant clients to remember the Email accounts and settings. In order for MAPI to work, a MAPI profile must exist on the computer that the Email message is being sent from. You can configure a profile with Control Panel | Mail.
If extended MAPI is selected for sending Emails, the default MAPI profile is used.

Password
The profile password. The password is encrypted before saving.

Use the existing shared session
Before sending Email via a MAPI compliant client, you must establish a session (or connection) first. Sessions are initiated when a user logs on with a MAPI profile.
Clients can specify one of two types of sessions to be established in the logon call: a new session or a shared session. Shared sessions are established once but can be used by other clients who need to use them.
If "Use the existing shared session" is checked, there is no need to specify a MAPI profile since other clients have already logged in.

Create ZIP archive to send Email attachments
Select this check box to package the generated files into a ZIP file and send it as an Email attachment.

Delete the original images after the Email is sent
Select this option to delete the saved files after sending the Email.

Maximum attachment size
The maximum size of attachments in MB. It is generally not a good idea to send large Email attachments. A lot of Email Servers cannot cope with messages larger than a few MB in size.
To send Email without attachments, set the Maximum attachment size to 0.

Help
Loads the help file, and displays the Email->MAPI Settings topic.
